Advantages of LV Components

01

Safety first

Circuit breakers prevent electrical overloads that can be the cause of events like fire, equipment damage, or personal injury. The system automatically shuts off when it detects an irregularity to protect itself and keep operating safely protect it from harm and to keep it operating.

02

Overload protection

Sometimes, an electrical system can draw more current than it should. A circuit breaker protects the system from this overload by cutting off the extra current, which helps prevent potential fires caused by overheating.

03

Life of equipment

Electrical surges and short circuits can go a long way in significantly cutting the life of your devices. A circuit breaker helps protect expensive equipment by cutting off power during such events.

Types of LV Components

MCB (Miniature Circuit Breaker): Appraised current not in excess of 100 A. Excursion attributes are typically not customizable. Breakers outlined above are in this classification.

MCCB (Molded Case Circuit Breaker): Appraised current up to 2500 A. Warm or warm attractive activity. Excursion current might be customizable in bigger evaluations.

Magnetic circuit breakers: Magnetic circuit breakers use a solenoid (electromagnet) that is pulling power increments with the current. Certain plans use electromagnetic powers notwithstanding those of the solenoid. The electrical switch contacts are held shut by a lock.

Thermal magnetic circuit breakers: Thermal magnetic circuit breakers, which are found in most conveyance sheets, fuse the two procedures with the electromagnet reacting promptly to huge floods in the current (short-circuits) and the bimetallic strip reacting to less limit yet longer-term over-current conditions.

Common trip breakers: When providing a branch circuit with more than one live conductor, each live conductor should be ensured by a breaker post. To guarantee that all live conductors are hindered when any post outings, a “typical excursion” breaker should be utilized.

Medium-voltage circuit breakers: Medium-voltage circuit breakers highlighted somewhere in the range of 1 and 72 kV might be collected into metal-enclosed switchgear lineups for indoor use, or might be singular parts introduced outside in a substation.

High-voltage circuit breakers: Electrical power transmission networks are secured and constrained by high-voltage circuit breakers.

Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) high-voltage circuit-breakers: A sulfur hexafluoride electrical switch uses contacts encompassed by sulfur hexafluoride gas to eliminate the bend.

Features of LV Components

Thermal magnetic circuit breaker, with rated insulation voltage up to 690v (630 frame 1000v, suitable for ac 50hz), rated working voltage 400v, and rated working current up to 630a, are used in power distribution network circuits. They are used to distribute electric energy and protect lines and power equipment from losses caused by overload, short circuit, undervoltage and other faults. They can also be used as infrequent starting and overload/short circuit and undervoltage protection for motors. The product has the characteristics of small size, high breaking rate, short arcing, etc. It can be installed vertically or horizontally.

Application of LV Components

Industrial

Protect heavy machinery and sensitive equipment in factories and manufacturing plants. Used in control panels to manage power distribution across production units.

Residential

Protect household wiring and appliances from overloads and short circuits, preventing potential fires. Offer adjustable protection and remote signaling for enhanced safety and control.

Commercial

Safeguard office equipment, HVAC systems, and lighting networks in commercial buildings. Provide protection against faults in large-scale wiring systems, minimizing downtime and potential damage.

Production Process of LV Components

Initial design print

Using a special plotter printer, a “film” or “image” of each layer is made. This film is a photo negative of the board itself. Each layer of the circuit board (both inner and outer) and accompanying solder mask top and bottom get its own layer.

Inner layer copper print and etching

The design is printed onto a laminate material and then copper is pre-bonded to it. The copper is then etched away to reveal the traces and copper fill regions as dictated by the gerber files.

Stackup layer alignment

After each layer has been printed and cleaned, technicians use an “optical punch” and drive a pin through the layers to align them.

Lamination

For multilayer boards, this process consists of applying high heat and pressure to the internal layers of the board while using a photosensitive dry resist.

Hole drilling

Based on the files, a computer-guided drill is used to create registration, guiding, and other specified holes.

Plating

A chemical process is used to create a micron-thick layer of copper over the top layer and the holes that have been drilled, creating vias, whether they be through-hole, blind, or buried.

Outer layer imaging and etching

A photoresist is applied to the outside layers and then imaged. They are then plated similarly to the previously discussed inner layers, with an additional layer of tin to help protect the copper during the etching process.

Soldermask

A solder mask film (usually green) is applied to the surface of the board. Ultraviolet light is then shined on the board to indicate sections for removal.

Silkscreen

The final additive process to the circuit board is the application of the silkscreen or legend. This is used to convey company id numbers, warning labels, component designators, pin locators, or any other useful information.

FAQ

Q: What does an electronic circuit breaker do?

A: A circuit breaker is an electrical safety device designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by current in excess of that which the equipment can safely carry (overcurrent). Its basic function is to interrupt current flow to protect equipment and to prevent fire.

Q: How to fix a circuit breaker that keeps tripping?

A: A circuit breaker that keeps tripping usually indicates an overloaded circuit or a short circuit. To fix this, first, identify the tripped breaker (it will be in the middle or slightly off-center position).

Q: How do you know when a circuit breaker is bad?

A: A circuit breaker is likely bad if it trips frequently, won't reset, has a burning smell, feels hot to the touch, or shows physical damage like scorch marks.

Q: How do I find out what is tripping my electric breaker?

A: Start by turning off all the lights, appliances, and electronic devices in your home. Then, reset the main circuit breaker by switching it off and on. Afterward, turn on each circuit one at a time, and observe which one trips the breaker. Once you've identified the circuit, you can focus on narrowing down the problem.

Q: How do I find out what is tripping my electric breaker?

Q: How do you know if a circuit breaker needs to be replaced?

A: A circuit breaker likely needs replacement if it frequently trips, shows physical damage, emits burning smells, or feels unusually hot to the touch. Other signs include flickering lights, poor appliance performance, or the breaker not staying reset after being tripped.
