SF6 circuit breaker inflation guide

Step 1: Inspection

Before inflating, all the bolts of sealing flange surface should be checked whether there is loosening, whether the porcelain parts are broken, whether the three-phase gas connecting

The installation of the gas pipe and SF6 density controller is in good condition.

Step 2: Prepare materials, gas tank, gas pipe, pressure reducing valve.

Step 3: Connect the gas pipe, pressure reducing valve and gas canister together

Check that the connections are tight to avoid leakage.

Note that the pressure reducing valve should be closed, and the SF6 gas tank should be placed horizontally.

Step 4: Exhaust the air in the air tube

Open the valve of the air tank first

Then open the pressure reducing valve

Make the low-pressure side pressure 0.02~0.04MPa, and then bleed for 5~10 seconds.

Close the pressure reducing valve after deflating

Place the tank upside down.

Step 5: Connect the gas tube with the circuit breaker

Open the gas cap on the inflatable port of the circuit breaker, connect the gas tube with the inflatable port on the circuit breaker, and pay attention to the connection needs to be tightened to avoid gas leakage.

Step 6: Inflate

(Transportation safety requirements, the factory inflation pressure is 0.3Mpa, need to be inflated to 0.45Mpa)

When inflating, you need to open the pressure reducing valve slowly and inflate the circuit breaker, when inflating, the pressure difference between the low pressure side of the pressure reducing valve and the circuit breaker is not more than 0.05MPa.

When the gas pressure inside the circuit breaker is close to the rated pressure, inflation should be carried out slowly to avoid over-pressurization of the circuit breaker.

Slowly open the pressure reducing valve and start inflating

Note that the sound can be heard here when inflating.

The site needs to be inflated to 0.45Mpa

When the gas in the circuit breaker is filled to the rated pressure, immediately close the pressure reducing valve, then close the gas tank valve, followed by removing the gas filler tube from the circuit breaker connector and capping the gas cap. Remove the gas tube and remove the pressure reducing valve.

Step 7: Properly store the filling spare parts

SF6 gas tanks, gas tubes, pressure reducing valves.

Storage environment requirements:

Routine storage of electrical items requires dry, ventilated, and free of acidic gases and dust.
