Do vacuum circuit breakers prevent backflow?

Vacuum Circuit Breaker (Vacuum Breaker) does have the function of preventing backflow, but there are differences in its design principle and application scenarios from the device that prevents backflow of liquids in pipelines. Specifically described below:

I. Principle of Vacuum circuit Breaker to Prevent Backflow

Vacuum circuit breakers are mainly used to prevent gases or liquids in pipelines from flowing back into equipment or piping systems due to pressure changes (e.g., negative pressure). Its core components include:

Check Valve : Utilizing the characteristic of the valve flap to open under positive pressure and close under reverse pressure, it stops the fluid from flowing backward;

Negative Pressure Destruction Valve: Automatically opens when the pressure in the pipeline is lower than the set value, releasing the negative pressure and avoiding the damage caused by the negative pressure;

Spring device: Provide opening and closing power to ensure timely action of the valve flap when the pressure changes.

Through the combination of the above, the vacuum circuit breaker can effectively prevent system damage or contamination caused by gas or liquid backflow.

2. the difference between the vacuum circuit breaker and the one that prevents contamination of the toilet tank

Application scenarios are different

Toilet tank vacuum circuit breaker (such as patented technology) is designed to prevent the backflow of sewage in the flushing pipe to pollute the tank, while industrial vacuum circuit breaker (such as KC-13, KC-6, etc.) is mainly used to prevent damage caused by negative pressure in the piping system.

Structural Differences .

Toilet model circuit breakers usually contain outlet pipes directly connected to the tank, push rods, seals and other structures to prevent backflow through physical isolation, while industrial vacuum circuit breakers are designed to achieve rapid opening and closing by means of valve flaps, springs and other mechanical structures.

Different sealing requirements .

Toilet models require high sealing performance to prevent sewage leakage; industrial vacuum circuit breakers pay more attention to high-pressure resistance, corrosion resistance and other properties.

In summary

Vacuum circuit breaker through the check valve, negative pressure destructive valve and other structural design, can effectively prevent gas or liquid backflow, but its specific performance needs to be combined with the actual application scenarios to determine. If you need to prevent pollution of the toilet tank, it is recommended to choose a special model of anti-reflux device, and ensure its sealing and installation specifications.
