With the rapid development of the power grid, 10KV less oil circuit breakers have been replaced by vacuum circuit breakers. Vacuum circuit breakers have the characteristics of high reliability and convenient maintenance, so they are widely used. But in order to ensure safe use, 10KV vacuum circuit breakers need to be tested before using.
The test method is generally understood by professionals in the industry. After the gas pressure is lower than 133pa, due to the small number of gas molecules, the vacuum gap will not be broken down due to collision, so the breakdown field strength is very high. Therefore, before commissioning, we need to take the following test steps:
1. Measure contact resistance.
2. Measure insulation resistance: measure once for the fracture and the whole.
3. Perform AC withstand voltage test: once for the fracture and the whole.
However, after many tests, it was found that the contact resistance of the circuit breaker was increasing year by year, and the insulation resistance decreased during the insulation resistance test. In response to these problems, based on the above reasons and with the continuous updating of the test methods, we have now added the vacuum test method, which has injected new detection means into the test of vacuum circuit breakers.
Through the accumulation of several years of test experience, we believe that the earliest test steps can no longer meet the requirements. In the handover test and routine preventive test before commissioning, we should do the following steps:
1. Measure the contact resistance.
2. Measure the insulation resistance: measure once for the break and the whole.
3. Perform AC withstand voltage test: once for the break and the whole.
4. Measure the insulation resistance after AC voltage test: measure once for the break and the whole.
5. Perform vacuum test.
As long as the above aspects are achieved, we believe that accidents of vacuum circuit breakers can be avoided. Therefore, these experiments are essential before the initial use of vacuum circuit breakers or before use after maintenance.
In short, before using the 10KV vacuum circuit breaker, testing is critical to ensure safe use and stable operation. With the continuous innovation of test methods, good testing can make the vacuum circuit breaker have higher reliability and stability.
