How to carry out preventive maintenance for vacuum circuit breakers properly?
Preventive maintenance measures for vacuum circuit breakers are the key to ensure their long-term stable operation, mainly including the following aspects:
1. Equipment selection and installation
Select mature products: give priority to vacuum circuit breakers produced by reputable manufacturers to ensure that their vacuum degree, mechanical properties and other indicators meet the standards.

2. Regular inspection and testing
Vacuum degree detection:
Regularly use a vacuum tester to detect the vacuum degree of the vacuum bubble. The normal value should not be less than 6.6×10⁻² Pa (new equipment requires 7.5×10⁻⁴ Pa or less).
Judge the vacuum degree by observing the color of the arc: light blue arc is normal, dark red or orange-red arc indicates that the vacuum degree decreases and needs to be repaired.
Mechanical property test:
Detect travel, synchronization, bounce and other characteristics to ensure reliable operation of the circuit breaker.
The overtravel indicator can assist in judging the amount of contact wear.
Perform power frequency withstand voltage test (such as 42KV) every 3 years or so, or shorten the cycle according to the service life

3. Daily operation and maintenance
Appearance inspection:
Periodically inspect the circuit breaker, pay attention to whether there is discharge outside the vacuum bubble, and whether the shielding cover is oxidized and discolored.
Contact maintenance:
Overtravel adjustment: Determine the overtravel by the change in the position of the moving guide rod and the moving end flange surface to ensure the contact pressure
Environmental protection:
Moisture and rainproof: A humid environment increases the risk of air leakage, and a waterproof cover needs to be installed and the surrounding area needs to be kept clean.
Avoid re-ignition: Old-style circuit breakers such as ZN10 should reduce load operation to avoid re-ignition caused by contact bounce.
4. Recording and Analysis
Data Statistics:
Record the limit breaking current value (Σl=n1Ir+n2Ik). When the value specified by the manufacturer is reached, the arc extinguishing chamber needs to be replaced.
Analyze the test data regularly, find abnormal trends in time and deal with them.
