12kV Contact Box Installation and Operation Instructions

The contact box is formed byepoxy with APG technies,it is used for insulation isolation and connection transition of
various switch trucks.

The following modes are suitable to 12kV contact box.

1. Application range

Applicable for KYN28 metal-clad switchgear of rated voltage 12kV and rated frequency 50Hz.

2. Conditions of service environment

The maximum temperature of surrounding air is +48℃;Theaverage value of daily relative temperature is from -25℃to +35℃.
Altitude not exceed 1000m.
The average value of daily relative humidity not exceed 95%; The average value of monthly relative humidity not exceed 90%.
Surrounding air is not obviously affected by dust, smoke, corrosive and / or flammable gas, vapor or spray pollution.
External insulation pollution class:Ⅱ.

3. Technical parameters

Lighting impulse withstand voltage: ≥75kV;
Power frequency withstand voltage under dry testing: 42kV/5min no flashover,no puncture.
Partial discharg : ≤3pC;
Creepage path: ≥20mm/kV.

4. Installation and operation

On the end of the bus-bar rounded , not allow the installation of right angle and use socket Hexagon screw fix it, in order to avoid point

discharge.

Outline and installation (diagram 1), user select the installation size of high voltage terminal insert according to bus-bar specification and current value.
Fasten the fixed contact and bus-bar onto high voltage termimal insert.
Fixed the spout(according to the size of the mounting hole )on the switchgear with four M8 screw.
Put a suited base on the bottom of spout and the iron plate of switchgear, fixed firmly.
Clean spout after installation, and keep it tidy.
